Monique Ben-Carew

Chartered Physiotherapist

Monique is a Chartered Physiotherapist and is registered with the CSP and Health and Care Professions Council, with a degree in Sports Therapy. With experience across the NHS, private practice and sports settings, she has developed a broad and practical approach to physiotherapy.

Her clinical experience spans across MSK, sports rehabilitation, women’s health and acute medicine. In private practice, she has worked within a specialist sports physiotherapy clinic, using gait analysis, 3D movement analysis and strength testing systems to provide detailed assessments and help develop optimal and individualised management plans.

Her experience working with academy-level footballers, amateur rugby players and at the Cheltenham Half Marathon has also developed her skills in sports injury management.

She particularly enjoys helping people recover from injuries, build strength and confidence and return to exercise and sport. As an APPI-qualified Reformer Pilates instructor and Level 4 Massage Therapist she combines hands-on treatment, exercise prescription and movement-based rehabilitation to create individualised treatment plans helping you work towards your specific goals and return to your activities.

Outside of work Monique enjoys keeping active through the gym, Pilates and running, as well as getting outdoors and exploring the countryside surrounding the Bristol area. Having previously competed in sports acrobatics she has a personal understanding of the demands that sport can place on the body and how important movement and rehabilitation are in staying active and doing the things you love.
